The U.S. Senate campaign of Representative Mazie Hirono will report raising $1.017 million during the most recent fundraising quarter ending March 31st, thanks to the generous support of more than 7,000 individual donors. More than 6,000 of those individuals contributed to the Hirono Senate campaign for the first time.

"I am grateful and humbled by the generosity and commitment of the thousands of supporters who have joined this campaign. I have always said that this campaign is of, by, and for the people, and our first quarter fundraising results truly show that," said Hirono.

Campaign manager Betsy Lin noted, "The fact that our campaign has attracted so many first-time individual donors this cycle is a clear sign of Mazie's momentum. What's more, these new donors show the breadth of Mazie's grassroots support from middle-class families, the people Mazie will fight for in the U.S. Senate."

Hirono has been endorsed by several prominent organizations, including the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association, the Hawaii State Teachers Association, Hawaii Government Employees Association, Hawaii AFL-CIO, Hawaii Carpenters Union, Laborers International Union Local 368, Council for a Livable World, EMILY's List, Asian American Action Fund, Association of Professional Flight Attendants, Seafarers International Union, ILWU, NOW, Planned Parenthood, and Americans for Democratic Action.
